This privacy policy applies to the admission system of Bukhara Innovative Education and Medical University (BITU) — the admission.bitu.uz website and its mobile app. By using the system you agree to the processing of your personal data as described below.
1. Information we collect
- Identity and contact data: full name, date of birth, citizenship, gender, phone number, email;
- Documents: passport, diploma/certificate, academic transcript, payment receipts, photo;
- Education data: chosen program, study type, exam results;
- Technical data: device and browser type, session language.
2. How we use your data
Your data is used only to run the admission process: accepting your application, verifying documents, arranging your visa, preparing the contract, and contacting you. We do not sell your data for advertising.
3. Handling of documents
Uploaded documents (passport, transcript, receipts) are stored on a protected server. Only you and the staff authorized to work on your application (e.g. admissions, finance, the foreign department) can access them. Every file passes an authentication and permission check — knowing the link alone is not enough to open it.
4. Visa (telex) processing
During the visa and telex stage, some of your data (passport details, photo, related documents) is submitted, to the extent required by law, to the official systems of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the migration authorities. This is limited to the data needed to obtain your visa.
5. About your education
Once admission is complete, the data required for study is transferred to the university and the state education system (including HEMIS). This is necessary to enrol you as a student.
6. Contract and payments
Your contract is prepared from your personal data. Your payment receipts are confirmed by the finance department. Payment amounts and receipts are used only for financial accounting.
7. Data security
Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and protected by a permission system. We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, and loss.
8. Retention and sharing
Data is kept for the duration of the admission and study process and for any period required by law. It is shared with third parties only where required by law or with the authorized bodies needed for the process (MFA, migration, education authorities).
9. Your rights
- Access and review your data;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data where permitted by law.
10. Mobile app
The mobile app follows the same rules as the website and connects to the same protected system. This policy applies to the app in full.
